Talented Education at Grafton High School
Grafton High School has a long standing reputation for academic, cultural and sporting achievement and has excellent ties with the local community. Our purpose is to promote a school community where students, staff and parents work together to achieve excellence. We aim to provide quality teaching and learning in a caring environment. Our school offers an extensive curriculum featuring a large, diverse choice of subjects from Years 7-12 and a well resourced and locally supported vocational education program in Years 10-12. We offer support for students with disabilities as well as specialised support for learners of all abilities. At Grafton High School we encourage our students to respect others, to take responsibility for their own learning and behaviour and to strive for excellence.
Teachers at Grafton High School have a
proud history of working together with our students to achieve
excellent
academic results. We recognise that
each student has his or her own individual learning style. This
presents a considerable challenge for us to develop a broad range of
learning
activities which will engage and challenge the maximum number of
students in each of our classes. To this end, we are
committed to the task of
permeating our learning and assessment activities with the principles
of the "Quality
Teaching Framework".
